Innisfail Art Deco Walk
Map your trip
Take a step back in time and explore the Art Deco period of architecture and design between the period of the First and Second World Wars by taking the Innisfail Art Deco Walk.
The Art Deco influence in Innisfail is visible in many areas around the town and the typical features include reinforced concrete, low relief surface decoration, curved corners, lead light panels, port hole windows and wrought iron balustrades.
If you visit Innisfail, you can embark on an Art Deco walk around the town and take in iconic sites and buildings, including the Chinese Temple, the Regent Arcade (formally the Regent Theatre), Grand Central Hotel, the Cassowary Coast Regional Shire Hall, the Court House and many more.
The walk will take you between 90 and 120 minutes to complete. You can pick up a map from the Information Centre located on the corner of the Bruce Highway and Eslick Street (open seven days a week).
